Torquay Museum, Torquay, South Devon

Torquay Museum, Torquay, South Devon

One of Devon's best musems

Just up the road from Torquay Marina in the heart of The English Riviera, this superb local museum provides lots of great information about The English Riviera Geopark, the amazing journeys undertaken by local explorers and Devon life through the centuries.

The museum also contains the UK's only permanent exhibition relating to the work and life of Agatha Christie who was born in Torquay.

If this type of attraction is of interest, we'd recommend spending a day at Exeter's Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery (RAMM). A huge amount of money was spent renovating the museum and it's one of the best we've visited outside London.

Other top local museums in Devon include Torre Abbey and the Museum of Dartmoor Life.
