Anstey's Cove (Beach), Torquay, South Devon

Small beach set beneath dramatic cliffs on The English Riviera

There's a large car park above the cove and a steep path takes you down to the beach where you'll find a cafe, seating and viewing area. Owing to rockfall, part of the cove is closed to the public.

We'd recommend heading north on the coast path to visit Babbacombe Beach and Harbour, Babbacombe Downs and Gardens, Oddicombe Beach and Babbacombe Cliff Railway.

Long Quarry Point

The distinctive point north east of the beach is Long Quarry Point which provided the limestone with which many buildings within Torquay were built. It's part of Anstey's Cove and viewable from the South West Coast Path that runs through here.

Long Quarry Point is within the The English Riviera Geopark.
