The Ness, Shaldon, South Devon
Amazing pub location
The Ness is a pub at the mouth of the Teign Estuary in Shaldon village. Shaldon is on the Devon coast just north of The English Riviera. There are superb views across the water to Teignmouth and Teignmouth Pier. Beyond those, on a clear day, you'll see the East Devon and Dorset coastlines.

Things to do near The Ness
It's a great location. In addition to the views, visit Shaldon Zoo and walk through the Smugglers Tunnel to enjoy Ness Cove Beach. We'd also recommend walking to the top of The Ness from which the pub gets its name as the views from the top of this headland are big and impressive.
Head into Shaldon to explore Shaldon Beach and cross the water to Teignmouth on the Teignmouth/Shaldon Ferry.
If you fancy something a little more energetic, we'd suggest you follow the South West Coast Path south from The Ness towards Maidencombe Beach. Once again, the views are spectacular.
You can also visit The Ness having completed the Templer Way.
