Things to do in the local area

In the local area, visit Shaldon Beach and cross the Teign Estuary on the Teignmouth/Shaldon Ferry to explore Teignmouth.

We'd also recommend walking the South West Coast Path south from Shaldon for a classic South West England view of this part of the coast. It's a fairly hefty walk uphill by the side of the golf course but the views are worth it.

It's also fun to walk to the top of The Ness, a high cliff jutting out into the sea after which the local pub is named. There's a viewing point that looks down at Teignmouth Pier and Teignmouth Beach, the Teign Estuary and across the sea to the East Devon coast. Zoom in on the Google maps or refer to the Ordnance Survey 110 'Torquay & Dawlish' map for detail.
