If you're looking for coastline and beaches away from the crowds then head east of the Salcombe Kingsbridge Estuary. One of South Devon's best 'secret' beaches is at Woodcombe Sand (Beach). Located below steep cliffs, Woodcombe Sand (Beach) is small and peaceful.

Directions and parking for Woodcombe Sand (Beach)

To visit, follow the South West Coast Path east from the East Prawle area.

Above the beach, you'll connect with a path that winds down to Woodcombe Sand (Beach).

Alternatively, there's limited parking behind Lannacombe Beach. You then walk west on the South West Coast Path to reach Woodcombe Sand (Beach).

Note that there's a large car parking area above Start Point. Walk in from there.
