Directions and parking for Soar Mill Cove (Beach)
Follow the A381 to Malborough and then the skinny coastal road to Soar and the beautifully located Soar Mill Cove Hotel. If you're not staying in the hotel, there's a car park you can use from which to enjoy the beach and local area. A small charge applies which is payable in the hotel.
To walk in from the west, use the car parking area on Bolberry Down and follow the South West Coast Path east to Soar Mill Cove (Beach). The views are sensational.
To walk from the east and Salcombe area, we'd recommend taking the South Sands Sea Tractor/Taxi from Salcombe to South Sands (Beach) and then following the South West Coast Path around Sharp Tor (Salcombe) to Bolt Head. Wander across The Warren (Soar/Salcombe) and drop down to Soar Mill Cove (Beach).

Soar Mill Cove (Beach) is a small, sandy beach set below high cliffs in a particularly beautiful part of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The South West Coast Path runs behind the beach. It's a stiff walk down to, and up from, the beach to the surrounding high ground.
Things to do near Soar Mill Cove (Beach)
We'd recommend heading east on the South West Coast Path to Bolt Head, Starehole Bay and Sharp Tor (Salcombe). The views from the latter are extraordinary and you can loop back round via East Soar Farm to the car park at the hotel mentioned above. See the OS Explorer Map OL20 for more detail.
Other things to do in the local area
We'd recommend exploring the Salcombe area to the east and north east. Visit Overbeck's Garden and Museum (National Trust), South Sands (Beach), North Sands (Beach) and Salcombe. Take the South Sands Sea Tractor/Taxi from South Sands (Beach) to the centre of town.
North west of Soar Mill Cove (Beach), visit Hope Cove, Bantham and Bigbury-on-Sea.
