Also known as The Sound, Plymouth Sound is a bay by Plymouth arcing from Wembury through Plymouth Hoe to Penlee Point in Cornwall. It contains Plymouth Breakwater and Drake's Island. Plymouth Sound can be approached from the English Channel or from inland along the Rivers Tamar and Plym.
