Compact rock, shingle and sand beach near Mount Batten
Rum Bay Beach is a rock, shingle and coarse sand beach a short ferry ride south of central Plymouth. It sits below Jennycliff and Jennycliff Cafe.
Note that there's a large car parking area just south east of the beach although we'd recommend visiting via the Mount Batten/Plymouth ferry that runs from Plymouth Barbican Landing Stage which is located in front of the Mayflower Steps by the Mayflower Visitor Centre on Plymouth Barbican.
