Top family beach on The English Riviera
Goodrington Sands is a very popular, mainly sand beach on the The English Riviera.
There are loads of things to do in the local area including Splashdown Quaywest, Goodrington Park, Goodrington/Roundham Cliff Gardens and an exceptional promenade extending to Roundham Head. The South West Coast Path runs along the promenade behind the beach.
Both the sand and the surrounding cliffs are orange/red owing to the fact that this was once part of a massive desert located just north of the equator! The beach is part of the The English Riviera Geopark.
In the local area, we'd recommend visiting Paignton Zoo and Living Coasts, The Golden Hinde and Kents Cavern.

Goodrington Sands Promenade
Promenade running behind Goodrington Sands and around the side of Roundham Head. Behind the promenade are lots of leisure goodies including Goodrington Park and Splashdown Quaywest. There's ample parking.

Park behind Goodrington Sands and Goodrington Sands Promenade on The English Riviera. Splashdown Quaywest and Goodrington/Roundham Cliff Gardens are all close by. There's also Paignton Zoo inland.
