The Cricket Inn, Torcross, South Devon
Start Bay and its many shingle beaches are part of the South Devon AONB. The coast at Start Bay is lined with a number of gorgeous villages that provide top views of the area. Beesands is one such village. The Cricket Inn is on the seafront in Beesands. The main photo in this listing is what you see from the seawall in front of the pub. Clearly, it's a cracking location
Whilst the shingle beach Bee Sands is the main attraction here, we'd highly recommend following the South West Coast Path north or south from The Cricket Inn. We've walked most of the 630 mile trail and this is a particularly impressive stretch of it
North of The Cricket Inn and Beesands are Torcross, Slapton Sands, Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve and Blackpool Sands. Beyond those are Dartmouth Castle and Dartmouth
South of The Cricket Inn and Beesands are Hall Sands, Start Point and The Turf and Turf Lock. Follow the coastline west around Start Point and you're in Lannacombe Bay. Again, it's a cracking area
West of Beesands is The Salcombe Kingsbridge Estuary
