Directions and parking for Overbeck's Garden and Museum (National Trust)

The A381 takes you to the south western end of Salcombe. A steep road zig-zags down to North Sands (Beach) and then climbs and narrows to South Sands (Beach). The road then splits with one route taking you up to the National Trust property.

There's a reasonably large car park on site.

That said, we'd recommend taking the South Sands Sea Tractor/Taxi from Salcombe. The taxi boat delivers you to a sea tractor that takes you onto South Sands (Beach). You then wander up to Overbeck's Garden and Museum (National Trust).

If you're a keen walker, you can also walk in on the South West Coast Path from Salcombe.

Things to do near Overbeck's Garden and Museum (National Trust)

The upper gardens at Overbeck's provide superb views of the Salcombe Kingsbridge Estuary but we'd highly recommend taking the path by the entrance to the property which leads to Sharp Tor (Salcombe) and Bolt Head. The views from the top of Sharp Tor (Salcombe) are exceptional.

We'd suggest you spend some time at South Sands (Beach) as well. Again, a trip on the South Sands Sea Tractor/Taxi to Salcombe is great.
