Maceley Cove (Beach), Salcombe, South Devon

Magnificent 'secret' beach at the tip of South Devon

The coast west and east of the mouth of the Salcombe Kingsbridge Estuary is rugged and beautiful. To the east, the South West Coast Path winds its way around and over rocky headlands and behind stunning beaches. In many cases, steep paths take you down to 'secret', or less well known, beaches. Maceley Cove (Beach) is one of the best examples of this. A compact stretch of low tide sand pushes out from a scattering or giant rocks below towering cliffs. The setting is amazing.
