Brilliant waterside park by Plymouth Royal William Yard

At Plymouth, the River Tamar runs through the Hamoaze towards Plymouth Sound. Where the water channel narrows are Devil's Point and Wilderness Point. Devil's Point is on the Plymouth/Devon side of the water. Wilderness Point is on the Mount Edgcumbe Country Park/Cornwall side

Plymouth Devil's Point Park occupies the grassy area and rocky foreshore east of Devil's Point. Behind the Park is Plymouth Royal William Yard.

Directions and parking for Plymouth Devil's Point Park

There's parking available although we'd recommend taking the ferry from Plymouth Barbican to Plymouth Royal William Yard and then walking around to the Park.

If you're heading into Plymouth via Cornwall then take the Cremyll/Plymouth Ferry.

We've also walked to Plymouth Devil's Point Park on the South West Coast Path. 

 

Plymouth Sound and Estuaries European Marine Site

'Devil's Point, Stonehouse is within the Plymouth Sound and Estuaries European Marine Site, and is located at the mouth of the River Tamar. The site hosts a vast underwater rocky reef with overhangs, vertical cliff faces and submerged caves that extend to a depth of over 30 metres. It is a favourite spot for anglers and divers.'
