Greenway/Dittisham Ferry, Dartmouth, South Devon
Ferry connecting Greenway (National Trust) and the pretty village of Dittisham
A ferry runs between Greenway Quay just below Greenway (National Trust) on the east side of the River Dart and a pontoon in the pretty village Dittisham on the west side of the River Dart.
The Ferry Boat Inn overlooks the pontoon in Dittisham.
Ring the ferry bell on the quay or pontoon when there.
Note that the Greenway/Dittisham Ferry is a small foot passenger ferry. Vehicles cross the River Dart and Estuary at Dartmouth Higher Ferry and Dartmouth/Kingswear Lower Ferry. These are further down the river at Dartmouth/Kingswear. Other ferries run from Greenway Quay and Dittisham to the pontoon in the centre of Dartmouth.
